About Me

Growing up in Highland Park, before gentrification caused by the hipster invasion, I was able to skate everywhere with my friends and use my sister’s point and shoot to capture those moments. I would blog the pictures on MySpace so my friends could share in these moments no matter where they were. When I began studies Pasadena City College (PCC) I enrolled in a black and white photography class for fun. I found that being in the darkroom and processing the photos was a great way to relax, this was when I knew I had found my passion. It means a lot being able to capture those moments in life that can be remembered and cannot be duplicated. I went on to learn color film and became proficient in digital photography. When I joined the Courier, PCC’s student newspaper, it was a unique experience. At that time my photos were doing the talking but not I. The two years that followed I was able to become assistant scene editor, scene editor, chief photographer and then the photo editor for the school magazine, Spotlight. In working on the newspaper and magazine I was able to grow as a photographer and a person. I am now a freelance photographer on never ending journey to live and capture these unforgettable moments.
