Bio:  A passionate visionary, the multi-talented Stylist/Designer specializes in head-to-toe styling (hair, wardrobe, makeup and interior decor).  She has an exceptional eye for style and realized her talents during her early teens as she possessed a natural ability to style hair, apply makeup, design clothes and interior decorate as if she had a magic wand.  Her sought after style made her a trendsetter in her hometown.  She was quickly known for her creative skills and often did hair, makeup, wardrobe styling and personal shopping for classmates, friends and family members.

Experienced in various aspects of the fashion industry; and a skilled seamstress, formally studied Fashion Design at Norfolk State University and Bauder College.  She started modeling in local fashion shows and later sought to apply her artistic expertise behind the scenes. She began working with various photographers styling models for photo shoots and fashion shows, worked as a production assistant in Atlanta's Merchandise Mart and coordinated numerous fashion shows.  In March 2001, Monique created 'Elan Artistry as the "umbrella" company that offers all of her styling services as well as houses her clothing lines. She is currently featuring her clothing line in several fashion show productions and styling individual clients.  'Elan Artistry plans to launch a multiplicity of clothing lines in the future.  She aspires to style artists for major record labels, emerging artists, music videos, magazines, television shows and produce an exclusive online boutique. As far as her inspiration for fashion and style:

My “passion for fashion” is inspired by my surroundings. I see fashion and creativity in everything; music, art, architecture, shapes and patterns.  Anything could strike me as a ‘fashion statement’.  I don’t see things as they are, but how they “COULD” be and how they could be made more beautiful, more stylish, more sophisticated, or more eye-catching. I’ve been known to make clothes out of curtains! I enjoy turning plain; ordinary things into works of art.
