My name is Samantha Tokita, and I'm a makeup artist and filmmaker based in the Pacific Northwest.

My creative background began with drawing, which, when I began my studies in Theatre, almost immediately transitioned into a passion for creating art on the human face. I guess when actors need a steady hand to help with their makeup, most of them turn to the geeky AP drawing student for assistance. Whether on set, backstage, or in-home, I feel like I'm doing what I'm meant to do; sculpting beautiful faces! It is the constant evolution and invention with the passing seasons that keeps me in love with the beauty and film industry. I specialize in film/television production and print, with experience in beauty, horror, and special effects.

I've worked on stage productions including Romeo and Juliet, Alice in Wonderland, and Beauty and the Beast, behind the scenes for films including Redemption and Drop by Drop, backstage for fashion shows like Do the Extraordinary in Seattle, as well as numerous other shoots and pieces in Las Vegas and Seattle.
