As a makeup junkie, I never thought I could make a career out of doing what I love to do the most: playing with makeup! The more I learned about makeup products, the industry, tricks and techniques, the more I realized that this was the career path for me.

Recruiting one of my best friends to be my model, I practiced and practiced and practiced until I got my technique down. After about a year of educating myself and building my portfolio, I was hired to work at Sephora as one of their makeup artists. A month later, I completed their education and training program and passed the test to becoming one of the certified MUAs -- an accomplishment I am very proud of. Working at Sephora has exposed me to so many different types of people with various skin types, skin tones and makeup preferences. I truly feel like I can say I've seen and worked with it all!

Though I love my job working retail makeup, I want to get back to my roots and really start to focus on building my freelance clientele, especially now that I'm certified and more experienced. In the past, I've done freelance for Homecoming, Prom, senior pictures, graduation and girls-night-out. At Sephora, most of my clientele consists of brides, so I do have experience in bridal makeup. In addition, I am currently enrolled in a SFX/Theatrical makeup class, so I am learning and gaining experience in that area of makeup artistry as well.

My goal for making this account is to start networking again, and getting my name out there to any photographers, models or anyone else in need of a makeup artist. Please feel to reach out if you have any questions!
