I can only consider myself as an amateur photographer. Photography started as second hobby spin off painting. In years it became more than a hobby or a tool on the painting toolbox.

Although I am not artist by trade I am more than just amateur oil and water colorist. I have been painting since I remember, and taken some coursework. I have exhibited in Scotland and Spain, I sold some paintings, etc. My style is realist figurativism, although I have periods or flirted with hyperrealism, surrealism and digital painting as well. I paint with oil colors and water colors, they are to my like two mistress, both equally enchanting but complicated... just like relationships. I always try to shoot with the idea in my mind that the photo would end as model for a painting.

As I said, I consider myself as amateur photographer, reason why I take a ton of photos, hoping than one or two would be really good. Little by little I am learning to build the photo that I want, but still I need to learn to take the photo that I want and it is a great shoot.

Nowadays, I do photography as a hobby with the orientation of painting, however, I do not discard freelance work, although my spare time after job/business, family, and painting/photography is very limited. I seriously would need days of 36 hours or clone myself.
