Jay the principal photographer of Qlix Photography is an accomplished and accredited Wedding Photographer. From as early as eight years old to today, he has rediscovered the love for film photography.
Jay recalls that one morning, he dug out some of the childhood photos that mum kept under somewhere, well protected from weather and he found that all of them were done on film. To his surprise, that was the missing link in his photography! A true Eureka moment has begun and ever since that he has not left the world of film photography. He mentions that he loves the way it looks, the process he goes through and most important the way it captures light like no other he has ever seen. What better to capture your story than to use film! Jay describes his style as creative documentary photography as he tries not to control the scene and let events flow as they should and candidly capture those ‘stolen’ shots. What’s more, he thinks that great images are the same way as great food is made – ingredients, time and no shortage of love.
