About Me

Dedo bio 7-28-15

Dedo was born in the first semester at Tampa Tech in 1995 where I received a degree in graphic design.
Since becoming a professional sculpture I have continued taking courses at the VAC, the Cultural Center and at Ringling. Working as a remodeling contractor in Charlotte County I created gifts for my customers using materials left from the jobs - wood lathe pelicans from rat run, seascapes from door cutouts and sculptures from valley metal.
With the closing of the remodeling company and the opening of the Punta Gorda Artisans Atelier in 2010 I have been free to create art that amuses me. I create from my dreams, fantasies and hopes.
I enjoy collaborating on multi dimensional projects. I would like to see wood pulp elevated to fine art and not just craft.
