For my work I like to collaborate with a searching partner: a person who wants to explore her true self. No acting, no 'poses', as I need the real energy to charge my art with. Women (and men) that are able to share their inner feelings or past experiences and who can move out of their comfort zone, into the darkness or the inner brightness, and go beyond vulnerability, and generate resonance that will echo in our co-created art.

In this post-Pop era Michel Vaerewijck underlines the importance to be ‘s
ui generis’ in order to bring the photographic ‘objet d’art’ to life.
With his 1/1 editions reproduction is ultimately limited.
In Vaerewijck's diaristic approach everything is ‘nür Gefühl’.
Michel tells me he’s in constant battle with the anecdotic. His work is a tool for discovering life and the quest for the essence of (his) life. Themes like vulnerability and limitation also repeatedly occur in his work.
