I have been blessed by photography from a young age watching my father who was a photojournalist with great curiosity as he shot and developed his own black and white film in our home darkroom on a small farm in northern NSW.
I never believed I would follow his obsessive passion for this craft of capturing moments in time or how far that journey would take me but many years later and many thousands of km travelled, here I stand.

I’ve been fortunate enough to take the camera all over the world and experience a broad spectrum of experiences, I’ve had the honour of documenting the hectic lives of our Aussie troops in the mountains of Afghanistan to capturing monks making the silent and serene pilgrimage in centuries old forests of Mt Koya-San in Japan. Recently I have explored the remote and pristine islands of Papua New Guinea searching for the perfect wave.

I’ve shot wedding portraits on glaciers and volcanoes in Iceland, mosques in Marrakesh, and even once astride a donkey on a mountain in Africa.

All of these experiences have given me a unique style and perspective in the way I capture a moment and create a picture, which shows my subject and their place within nature.

In his spare time Jason likes to sit in coffee shops drinking machiatto’s and thinking deep thoughts about whether to write his bio in the third or first person, he also loves spending time travelling the world with his gorgeous wife Annie who has a love hate relationship with his photography as it often distracts him from giving her “enough” attention however provides her with epic Facebook photos.
