"Son" short film

I'll be shooting a short film / pilot this summer called "Son". The main theme of the film is a co-dependent dysfunctional relationship between a Russian male and Black / mixed female. Both characters a have a dark past, troubled childhood's and complexes that make them unsuited for "normal" relationships, but they understand each other…

Character Description: early 20's insecure vixen, kind hearted people pleaser living a self destructive lifestyle. Dreamer, still has hopes of finding love and being happy...has a history of unstable relationships with “bad boy” types that cheat on her and mistreat her, stays dedicated to them and sees good in them – making up excuses why they mistreat her. Is alone in the city, grew up without a father and a neglectful mother that chose random men over her. Is intelligent and creative, with a nerdy side – gets lost in reading and learning new things (including psychology and her own complexes / disorders). Has a wild and impulsive side that makes her feel free and uninhibited, gets lost in her own world dancing at strip clubs.

^Its important to note that this is just a "Test Scene" from a guerrilla style shoot, we had no permit or rehersals. So when we shoot the actual "Son" short film, the finished product should look and feel like a big budget feature film (we are using a $30,000 Scarlet Camera with professional crew).

Synopsis: A young man’s destructive lifestyle is put on fast forward when he is given 48 hours to come up with money he owes to a local Gangster. Madly in love, owing a large some of money to a very bad man and addicted to sex, these are the 3 Problems the man has to deal with in what could very well turn out to be the last 48 hours of his life.
