I am very new to the modeling scene. I started out hooking up with a photographer who I went to high school/college with. We had a good time and it took me completely out of my comfort zone. I learned a lot about myself and learned more about my angles compared to the casual selfies. It was exciting to be in front of the camera and to produce some very cherished photos in the end.

My most recent gigs were all within the same week. Sunday, I was doing a double shoot back to back with two ladies and another guy. By Saturday, I was walking in my first fashion show that was in collaboration with the Plus America Kentucky & Ohio Pagent weekend.

The double shoot took me even more out of my comfort zone. I was shirtless and I was cold so I couldn't tell if I was freezing or nervous. The creative director of the shoot switched things up and put myself and the other guy, shirtless, in the same frame together. I could tell the other guy was a little uncomfortable and I was as well, more so for him, but we came out with some great shots together. I think it was great for me to get that close of an experience out of the way really early.

I've always been a stage in my growing up, whether it was for music or dancing, but my first fashion show was a different story. It was so empowering to have so many eyes watching me walk around in clothes in an artistic way. Although I was not on stage as long as I would've been for performing music or dancing, I was sure I was commanding attention from the audience in a very different way and it's exhilarating.

I wanted to be a valued member of the Model Mayhem community because I want to be available to collaborate with other artists and capture the image they wish to convey, to tell the story of others, to be an inspiration to anyone who longs for it. I believe God has more for my life and instead of being afraid of chasing after it because I'm not as experienced as the next, I'm throwing myself COMPLETELY out there and I'm ready!
