Makeup has always been my passion. There is nothing I love more than for someone to tell me that I make them feel beautiful and confident. I want to be able to achieve that every day of my life. I’ve always been told that you will be miserable if you hate your career and I feel so fortunate to have already found what I want to do for the rest of my life.
Beauty and high fashion makeup are my favorites. I love how the same look can turn out so different on different skin types and ethnicities. Beauty makeup means many different things to certain people and I like recreating client’s favorites looks on them and seeing how beautiful they feel after. High fashion is so fun because of how creative you’re allowed to be and really show your artistry skills.
I envision myself as either preparing clients for big events such as magazine shoots, red carpets, performances, weddings, or someone who just likes to look their best everyday. However, I can also see myself working fashion week and on the runway. After hearing some of my previous teachers talk about the energy of the atmosphere I have been dying to see it for myself. Models running around everywhere trying to get last second touch ups and designers scrambling to make sure everything goes smoothly just sounds like such a crazy and exciting work place.
As long as I am showing and improving my artistry skills at least six times a week I will be happy. I want to work all the time and really help make clients feel beautiful and bring the vision to life for photographers and designers. I cannot wait to get out into the work force and not only make my dreams come true as working as a makeup artist but to also make others dreams come true by helping create all their visions.
