the objective of my project stems from a time when I was discussing some photographs of models before and after makeup with a friend. I was saying that these women looked beautiful even before applying makeup, and often the makeup would make them look worse, so I started to think about how society imposes these very artificial standards of beauty to women. So in order to "combat" that, as it were, I wanted to show them those invisible moments of beauty that they would have otherwise missed and show them that they are, in fact, beautiful. The few women I've done this with have had a really positive experience, and although I can't tell you how long lasting it was, even if it just lasted a moment, I'd be satisfied.
