I work as a photographer and as a sculptor whose current preferred medium is cast glass. I'm somewhat of an oddity here because in the past my photography was not normally focused on the human form so I don't have a large portfolio of portrait, fashion, or editorial work and don't plan to develop one. My focus now is on developing a portfolio of sculpture that represents my current aesthetic. I am not actively seeking out work as a photographer but since I really love the medium I am always up to collaborate with interesting people who want to do interesting shoots!

I'm here mainly because I have a steady need for models for reference photos for my work in sculpture. I need reference photography of both male and female nudes. I'm hiring here for reference shoots and not figure modelling so you won't have to hold any pose for more than a minute meaning lack of previous experience with figure modelling is not a deal breaker. Models with a background in dance tend to be particularly good at finding naturalistic poses. I do not post reference photos anywhere online, and certify that they are not for any commercial use or public display. However, I do need to find at least one model who would be willing to sign a standard release so I could post some samples in my portfolio here so people know better what I'm hiring for...

I also occasionally need people willing to sit for life-casting sessions. I take direct impressions from the model using alginate with a plaster backing, and if you have the patience for application and clean-up it can be a fun experience :) I have an ongoing project with need for face models, but I am also interested in limited body casting.

My lovely wife helps me with moving lights, mixing materials, etc. and will be present for all sessions. I look forward to finding interesting and beautiful looking people to work with who can, hopefully, inspire some beautiful art.
