I borrowed my mom's digital camera and took what I believed were amazing fashion editorial photos of my best friend in high school. I did not realize how disconnected the scenes were with the clothing we bought from H&M and Forever 21. It was difficult to find clothes because they were either too expensive or did not exist. I began sketching many designs and teaching myself to sew. In 2012 I enrolled myself into the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I had trouble maintaining a part-time job while balancing a full-time student schedule. I created a small business for freelance window displays called Glass Box Visuals and luckily partnered with Alice + Olivia. I closed the business when I entered my senior year due to my acceptance in the senior collection. I was chosen as one of the top fifteen senior womenswear designers, but unfortunately was pulled out right before the show. I took that opportunity to produce my own event. I am now designing and constructing modern sportswear that has versatility and functionality.
