Hi my name is Michelle, I'm 24years of age and I'm based in Perth Western Australia.
One of my goals, I set out to achieve this year was to be an entrant in my first fitness competition. Which I'm currently training for season B INBA Perth Classic. In preparation for the event, I joined a Perth based promotional modelling company, and have part taken in a series of on stage parades to fine tune my stage presence.

Though my vision has changed slightly, after experiencing the tragic loss of two family members this year alone to suicide, it sparked an internal desire to raise awareness and in turn initiated my journey into the pageant world. I've currently been selected as a national finalist for Miss Global Australia and have been offered a place as a state finalist (WA) for Miss World Australia. Through this journey I'm hoping to raise greater awareness of mental illness within Australia, and calling for the development of a better system that not only offers support to the individuals themselves but to their families. I feel to many young lives are being lost to suicide and through this journey I'm hoping to convey the message "say no to stigma" and "we are one". The charities I've chosen to represent are SANEAustralia and Variety Australia, as I feel the work both these charities are doing is unprecedented.

I've been enjoying my modelling venture thus far, and I'm looking forward to what the future holds.
