About Dennis:

Dennis is a commercial, event, portrait, and performance photographer based in Oakland, California. His client list includes Microsoft, Whole Foods, Martin Marino Italiano and Buick/General Motors. He's currently the resident Editorial Photographer for C & T Publishing House with studios in Oakland and Benicia.

Dennis specializes in working with clients new to professional photography. His experience and in-shoot coaching make for honest, candid images that are closer to photojournalism than traditional portraiture.

Dennis started his photographic career as a journalist covering arts and entertainment for ANG Newsgroup and smaller, student-run publications. In 2010--after a nearly ten year detour through politics where he served as a Congressional Aide and political consultant--he returned to photography and hasn't looked back.

"Photography is a commitment to the moment. It requires being present in a way that you either won't or can't get in the natural run of things, and I love that.."

Dennis lives in Oakland where he remains committed to its thriving art scene and served as Event Director of Oakland Art Murmur's First Friday.
