About Me

Starting to shoot photographs at such a young age, I found a correlation between growing into an adult, as well as watching my work grow into who I was becoming. This advantage allowed me to experiment with many styles of work, both successful and unsuccessful. I found myself having a trend in my art that focused on how I currently view life through a conceptual format, in still life and portraiture.

My motivation stems from color correlated abstracts. I find beauty in color, more so now than ever. My concepts became based on two main keys: props and a prismatic scheme, while also being fueled by an impetuous desire to display feminine gentleness.

The process - constructing, purchasing, building and shooting became the most stimulating facet for me. Subjects vary - If I am shooting portraiture, I tend to separate an emotional connection between the model and the set. The model gets chosen from my own view on beauty, unrelated to how they would connect with the concept. Once combined, I talk to the subject and therefore create that connection one on one. I believe that prior knowledge could stray the attitude portrayed in the photographs and I would rather capture the raw essence from a model who has no idea what they are in for while letting my capture them. It’s a personal quality that has grown to make my work stronger.
