Hello all, I'm Nightshade. I'm a model, artist, pagan, professional gardener, Renaissance Faire lover, costume designer, folk music fanatic, and spicy food junkie, who loves the ocean and forest more than snow. I collect elephant statues, and books about global spiritual practices, and I’m learning how to build warhammer minis with my boyfriend.

Fun fact: Did you know that bats are one of the most diverse families of mammals? Some of them sleep inside tropical pitcher plants, and some are as big as small children. Most bats eat fruit or insects, but one single species can survive on blood. Their guano is a fantastic fertilizer, and they form complex social structures that can number as high as the millions. I love bats. They’re so cute.

I’ve been attending Renaissance Faires in costume for most of my life, and I make most of my costumes by hand. I like running around the faire pretending to be a pirate with my boyfriend and our friends, or dressing up like a satyr and making little kids laugh. But my favorite part is dancing in the drum circle at the end of every day. There’s something magical in the energy of beating drums that makes you move in twisting, unending motion, and I live for it.

I’ve been modeling for a for years, off and on, and really enjoy it. My schedule doesn’t allow me must time to pursue it as often as I’d like.

Basically I'm a plant-loving, drum-dancing, forest-prancing, dirt worshipping hippie, who loves enjoying the beauty life has to offer.
