Me? Just an average guy that likes to take pictures of all sorts of things. For many years those things didn't always include people; well some did - I did a lot of sports and motorsport photography so often the person was secondary to the action, the setting or whatever else. Usually with those sorts of shots you have less control over the lighting, the setting and the moment itself. That makes for an interesting time but often looked at the many fabulous shots from other genres where the individual or group are not just the subject but provide the personality (or maybe not, if that what the photographer was striving for?).
Anyway a few years ago, after having the money finally to hang up my film camera and switch to a DSLR, I went for it. With that, I thought the time would be right to see if I can capture that personality (or not; if I want) and maybe have some control, at least in terms of direction, of the subject - and also meet some new people along the way.
I've enjoyed what I've done so far (and I hope you will too once I get some images up here) and hope to continue that. Would be nice if we can have some enjoyment, fun and laughter together, along the way.
