Japanese born Rieko Nariuchi, is a creative director and stylist with over 15 years international experience in Japan, France and the UK.

Graduating from Sebaun Technical Hair College in 1998 trained in all aspects of hairdressing, cutting, perming, straightening, colour, hair-up and make up. Rieko quickly obtained her hairdressing licence. In 1996 she excelled again, passing a Vidal Sassoon Stylist course with top honours whilst working for one of the biggest salons in Japan.

In 1999, her ambition brought with it an opportunity to work at the Paris Fashion Week. After Paris, Rieko continued working in Japan, becoming a branch manager. In 2004 Rieko travelled to London, working in Islington at a large independent salon. She restarted fashion shooting in both film and pop promos. By 2007 she was promoted to Creative Director, and was a London semi-finalist in a Wella competition before opening her own salon, Hikari Salon, in 2009.

Still so passionate about her job and fun to work with, Rieko is open to all challenges and eager to find new ways to use her skills.
