Legion Artistry is focused specifically on the fetish lifestyle and modeling with an even narrower focus on kinbaku and shibari (Japanese forms of rope bondage). Kinbaku is slightly more formal and is rooted strongly in the Hojojutsu ties with a foundation on the box tie; whereas, shibari is a more loose term for rope tying in the fetish industry.

What kind of rope do you use?

I primarily use Legion Ropework hand-crafted 100% organic hemp rope, hand finished with whipped ends and oiled with cold pressed Jojoba oil. 8mm and 6mm are the most common sizes used (8mm or larger for any form of suspension rigging).

I will also use 100% natural organic flax linen rope and cotton rope on occasion.

On occasion a nylon rope will be used--but this is rare.

What colors of rope do you often tie with?

The most common is natural (undyed). However, based on request and availability I will tie with dyed ropes. In general, I have a good amount of red hemp rope on hand in 6mm and 8mm sizes.

Does the model need to be nude?

No the model does not have to be nude. However, there is a difference between tying someone nude and someone with under garments on. So, knowing in advance what the model's preference is has a strong baring on the preparation for the shoot and the rope to be used.

How long does it take?

This varies drastically on several factors: the individual model, the style of tying, suspension rigging or ground work, type of rope used, number of ties to be used, and so on. In general, a basic shoot is 3-4 hours long with some shoots running up to 7-8 hours long.

May the model bring an escort?

Of course the model can bring an escort. They must be at least 18 years old and be fully aware of the style of shoot the model will be engaging in prior to arriving at the shoot.

What are your rates?

At the moment I do not charge. However, if there is a specific request for a rope color I may ask the model to pay for the rope and dye for the session (this is at cost and not at retail pricing).
