Joshua Going was born and raised in Saco, Maine. Wanting to broaden his horizons, Josh moved to San Francisco to pursue his passion for photography. Now a junior at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Josh continues to develop his craft in an urban setting that he finds quite suited for him. Josh enjoys styling his own photo shoots and finds inspiration from vintage clothing and uniquely beautiful people. He is very passionate in his photography and finds happiness through photographing the world around him.

While still a student at the Academy of Art, Josh wants to take in all the knowledge he possibly can and continue to experiment trying all different types of photography. His main focus is portraiture, but lately he has been enjoying taking pictures of landscapes. He also enjoys working on personal fine art projects when not busy with schoolwork. Josh feels very confident in his work and is very excited to continue his photographic journey.

After graduating, Josh hopes to find a job working for a major fashion magazine in either New York City or Los Angeles. He also wants to have his work shown in as many galleries as possible. Down the road Josh ultimately hopes to become an art director. Josh’s closet is full of vintage clothing he has collected for shoots. He would also like to someday open a second hand shop where he can continue his passion for styling.
