IT’S YOUR VISION

This has been our mantra since we began shooting natural light boudoir photography. It’s amazing how a couple of boudoir requests from clients has flourished into all of this, and it’s a testament to two things:

First, so many people (singles and couples) want boudoir images of themselves or their significant other! In some cases, the bride-to-be wants to surprise her husband with some images to last a lifetime. In other cases, clients want to document all of the hard work that they have put-in to achieve the body that they have always wanted. Others want to surprise their husband or boyfriend with images that represent them, but that also show them in a light that he never could have imagined. For many, it’s just something that they have always wanted to do, but they simply did not know the right photographer.

We have been so blessed to work with many clients who fit one of the above categories. They have placed such intimate trust in us, and we have never taken that for granted. And so our reputation has grown. It’s a reputation born out of the utmost respect for your unique needs, the kinds of quality images that you deserve and a flawless reputation for privacy and discretion.

All of this being said, in the end, THE ART that we create has been the most important determining factor in our success. We have our own very distinct style (elegant, sensuous, natural and highly artistic), but each of our client’s unique needs really mold our shoot. Of course we have an infinite reservoir of artistic ideas, but it is important that your session be tailored to your needs. Some sessions are more risque than others. Some clients have lots of props that they want to incorporate (ie: Melted wax, their husband's favorite hat, their boyfriend's dress shirt, etc). This is your show, and part of the fun for us is creating a session that is unique to YOU.

This synthesis of visions—yours and ours, is what helps us produce images that are striking. We hear this over and over from our loyal clients.

OUR TEAM

Our team at Boudoir by Luce has been one of the primary factors in the success of our company. Our returning clients will tell you that it’s why they have chosen us to help make their vision a reality, and why they keep coming back. Quite simply, we believe that it sets us apart.

Often, our primary point of contact with clients is Michelle (though some prefer to communicate directly with the photographer; either is just fine). She is our all-around assistant extraordinaire. Her artistic vision and attention to details, are perfectly suited to making your experience as amazing as any boudoir session SHOULD be. She often takes a major role in pre-session communication with clients, wardrobe planning, thematic design, logistics and posing. In many cases, it is Michelle that communicates closely with the client in the weeks prior to our session, so that everyone has a clear vision of what we are seeking when the day of your session arrives. In addition to her preparation, she is also there to assist clients with wardrobe, hair, makeup or anything else that they might need to help them look their best on the day of our shoot. Though she is not a hair and makeup specialist, she is quite experienced in making clients look and feel their best.

Michelle is an absolute "dream assistant." Not only is she a dedicated mother and career woman, she also has experience on both sides of the lens. It was after doing a shoot with Boudoir by Luce that she realized the difference that a photo session can make in one's self-esteem and self-concept. Before she knew it, she was immersed in the task of helping others experience the same joy. For someone who lives to help others, it is a match made in heaven. In the end, our clients love her for her sweet nature, openness, sense of humor and creativity.

B is our photographer. We use his initial in our description because most of his photography work is not boudoir in nature—including lots of family, seniors, maternity, equine, landscapes and even residential work. Separating his boudoir work from other genres just makes sense in terms of comfort and discretion. But while we are always meticulous about privacy when it comes to this part of our business, our boudoir clients come to know us quite well. In fact, many have become close friends, and this is one of the many aspects that we enjoy about boudoir work.

Clients from around the country have trusted B with capturing their most precious images for years. The special combination of traits needed for natural light boudoir work are all embodied in this photographer. His devotion to the science and art of this unique brand of imagemaking, and his almost obsessive determination to get it “just right,” are perfectly complimented by his relaxed manner and polite nature. Some clients even prefer to communicate directly with B in the days leading up to their shoot, and that is absolutely fine. Again, it is all about what YOU are most comfortable with.
