Unconventionality is everything. Since the late 90s, the choice for me has always been to not pursue photography because of certain stigmas, the technological advancements that turn absolutely anyone and everyone with the wherewithal to purchase fancy high-res digital SLRs into so-called "pro photographers," and the expenses required to be taken seriously as a "professional," with equipment often trumping actual professionalism. I never stopped shooting, regardless. You won't find studio work or typical portfolio pieces here, nor will you find any crazy assortment of gear/equipment at my disposal. What you will find is a desire to create. The primary weapon of choice is an old full spectrum modified 8MP Sony F828, coupled with blindingly bright fluorescent lamps and a healthy dose of spontaneity... but, really, any camera works. It's about vision, and capturing a desired aesthetic... and it really always has been. ×
