About Me

Semi-pro level shooter.

Interested in classical portraiture, art nude, boudoir, fashion, and artistic photography in general. I love to do fashion photography due to a background in fashion including pattern making, and high-end bespoke tailoring. I also have experience with designing and making haute couture garments. I am also a capable professional fashion stylist and consultant. I have a solid grounding in photography techniques, as well as a wide background in the arts, film theory, and postmodernist theory. You will never meet a photographer with such a deep interest in fashion and art as I have.

I own better high-end equipment than almost any established full time photographer whose studio I have seen. I have equipment that would make most full time pros go green with envy. I shoot with a ridiculous range of different systems in order to get a wide variety of "looks" including a Canon 5Ds R, Canon 6D, Sony a7II, plus the amazing Fuji X system (X-Pro1 and X-100T). I shoot with a range of the best high-tech native and exotic vintage lenses, including some of the best high-end Zeiss lenses currently available—all different paint brushes on the artist's palette. I have had my work published in magazines and exhibited in art galleries.

I offer shoots with a huge range of professional Elinchrom strobes, and a ridiculous variety of Elinchrom light modifiers to cater for every type of studio work. I also have multiple portable speedlites and light modifiers for on-location shooting. One astonished model commented that she had never worked with a professional photographer with such a vast amount of equipment before.

Feel free to contact me to do TFP work if you enjoyed my portfolio. I can also do fashion photography shoots at an extremely reasonable rate, as long as the work is creatively inspiring. I have another professional career, so am not dependent on photography for income, which means I am able to offer you the rare opportunity to be involved in a creative project with much more high-end professional grade photography equipment than just about any full time professional can dream of offering, let alone all of those myriad amateur beginners offering TFP shoots using cheap equipment. And, I know how to use it all too, and use it really creatively. True, equipment isn't everything, but you'll find in me someone with a professional attitude and an open mind endlessly passionate about art, willing to actively engage you as a creative collaborator. That means I am only too happy to agree to TFP work on inspirations or fashion shoots that we can both have a lot of fun realising together.

Because I do photography for the love of art, I won't cancel on our TFP shoot because I got a last minute call for a paid shoot. Instead, I'd forgo the last minute paid shoot because we've both committed to a creative project together. I'm not in this for the money (only a fool thinks there is money to be made through photography), and the shoot you and I have carefully planned together will get my complete attention.

I look forward to hearing from you! Let's chat and see what creative inspiration we can draw from each other. I've had full time model say they get better and more creative shots out of me than lots of full time pros. That's because I don't care about the money. I'm here because between you and me we can create something that we can both look back on in decades to come and be really proud of.
