About Me

I started photography very early in life at the age of 8 in fact, with a Nikon FP1 35mm slr I found in the attic one day, before a holiday.

I loved this camera and ran many rolls of film through it until one day it fell off the top a waterfall.

I never really got into the whole “I want to be a photographer” thing until secondary school when I became so ill I was unable to do the sports that I loved, so I took pictures of them instead with my first digital SLR.

I found out I was quite good and ended up teaching a lot of the A-level students who were studding photography at the time.

I was also a councilor at this point in school helping out other student who needed it, a lot of the time with photography playing a large role in this, expression is very therapeutic and satisfying.

This is when I found out how much I loved working with people, and how photography can help people in so meany ways, not just capturing memories and moments but making people feel great about themselves and putting across the beauty in all not just what was accepted as the perfect subject.

So I taught myself as much as I could over the next few years and all this just made me want to learn more about this great subject, so I went to college for a 2 year National Diploma in photography and art history.

There I studied mostly studio and fashion photography and my love of working with people grew even more. So when I passed with good grades the next step was logical, I started up selling wall art and pet photography.

Ok maybe not logical but it was a great choice and working with pets gave me a greater respect for photographic skills, as you can tell a model to stay in this pose or that pose for ages but most dogs are like “I will stay until the tree blows in the wind.”

This taught me many great things about my art as well as the need to be prepared for anything. This has now made me a much better and more competent photographer than ever and I am having great fun while doing it.

Which at the end of the day photography should be fun for all involved.

The pet business is still running well, and is now run by my prodigy and partner Sian.

So now we have moved to Wales and set up M-Mode photography with our unique barn studio we have converted from scratch. With our own ideas and creativity in mind we are in a better position than ever before to give all our clients the experience they deserve.

Looking forward to working with you and thanks for reading
