I'm a hobbyist photographer and looking into doing this professionally, possibly when I retire or if the opportunity does present itself.

I started with a film SLR back in the 1990s, but never got into it 'creatively' as much as I wanted to. Some three years ago I finally decided to get a used Canon EOS 450D and that has re-ignited my passion for this craft. I'm quite happy at my progress and I feel I have something to contribute to the craft, while at the same time realizing that there is such a wide gamut of things to learn and explore and apply.

I like doing portrait work, as well as shooting motoring sports. I guess the common thread between them is that I find sports cars sexy as well. :-)

As of this writing, I'm interested in joining Model Mayhem essentially to get inspiration for shoots and themes, but I expect those reasons for visiting and staying to here to change as I get a better feel of what this site has to offer.
