I am a traditional film photographer based in Chicago, Illinois. I have taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago since 2010 and am the President of Latitude, Chicago's community non-profit photography lab. I am interested in the ways that photographic images function outside of the milieu of the museum, gallery, and commercial realms--for instance how photos function in homes--and I am particularly interested in the ways in which photographs and photographic practices function to create and to strengthen social bonds.

I am presently working on a project based on old slides of pin-up style images taken by hobbyists and lay people in the 1950s and 60s, and I am looking for models to pose for the project. I would be happy to share images of some of these slides that I have found with interested persons.
