JOSEFINA FERNANDEZ MORAN was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina but spent much of her adult life living in the United States, principally in New York. She worked in film, television and advertising as a makeup artist-working with such artists as Cindy Sherman for her film Office Killer, and with top production and advertising companies in Buenos Aires. During those years, she also studied photography at the International Center of Photography and the School of Visual Arts. She has participated in various group exhibitions both in New York and Buenos Aires. She returned to Buenos Aires briefly for four years in 2009. There she worked doing portrait photography as well as teaching photography at two major photography schools. In 2012 she started working with Harvey Stein conducting workshops during the celebration of Carnival in Buenos Aires.
