Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Kiffany Ray was exposed to the hair industry at a young age. As a child she would visit the hair salon with her mother and that is when the infatuation hit her. She would always ask her mother stylist questions about hair. Then she would go home and practice on herself. By the age of 15 she was already calling herself a stylist.

After high school Kiffany decided to further her education. With an ambitious spirit she attended Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama majoring in History. Upon graduating from Stillman, Kiffany went on to pursue a Masters in Post-Secondary Education at Troy State University located in Troy, Alabama. After Troy she decided to utilize her teaching skills so she put them to uses by becoming an educator in the Birmingham City School System. After the sudden closing of her school, Kiffany had to reevaluate herself, so she became a store manager of a high end retail store located in Birmingham. Even though she loved being able to use her leadership skills her passion just wasn’t there. After having a conversation with God, Kiffany decided to embark on a career in the Cosmetology field. She enrolled in the cosmetology program at Virginia College in Birmingham, Alabama.

While at Virginia College Kiffany’s skills started to blossom. Kiffany became one of the top students in her class. She achieved the title of Star Student for a semester. Kiffany also competed in the Virginia College Show where she placed in every category. She received 1st place in Fantasy, 1st place in Grab Bag and 2nd place in the Hair Cutting Competition. After graduation from the Virginia College, Kiffany had the pleasure of working with one of the top colorist and natural hair care stylist in the industry. After being trained by the best, Kiffany decided to relocate to Tampa, Florida where she can pursue her dreams of becoming a plat form artist while building her brand.
