Half Japanese, Half Korean born and raised in sunny California, USA. My main occupation is technical fashion designer, but in my spare time, I also enjoy part-time modeling. This passion originally started with a friend's family lingerie company, and they needed more women of color. Luckily being of mixed backgrounds, I fit the description and got the part. I was also able to do a few runways for some fashion shows, although not the standard couture model height, I barely made the cut.

Being in the fashion industry and mainly as a designer, we're always expected to be behind the scenes. I actually never saw a career in modeling nor did I think that I had what it takes until I've had photographers and recruiters pull me aside to sign up for auditions or have street photographers take candid photos of me. I see modeling as an opportunity to also see how photographers work and photoshoot sets run, to see everything coming together.

More importantly and as a goal, modeling provides me insight and experience on how to run my own shoots in the future as well as part take in fun but professional creative collaborations.

My personal preference vary in a wide range of styles. From streetwear to artistic portraiture, I'm quite open minded to any theme.

I have also taken an interest in photography as well, but I consider my skills to be of amateur level. Being able to work with photographers also will provide an opportunity to see how to guide my subjects and how to composition product display. Being in front as well as being behind the lens gives me an understanding of the mutual relationship between the subject and the photographer.
