Prasad is nationally recognized for his work in the field of performing arts photography. He has worked with many well-known personalities, including Luciano Pavarotti, Joel Grey, Elke Sommer, Robert Redford, Dr. Leo Buscaglia, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Cliffe Stone, Dr. Margaret Mead, Dr. Jane Goodall, Dr. Linus Pauling and many others.

He photographed the grand opening of the Orange County Performing Arts Center in 1986 and has worked with many of the professional companies performing there since that time. He photographed Mikhail Baryshnikov’s world premier of Swan Lake with ABT and Rudolf Nureyev’s world premier of Cinderella with the Paris Opera Ballet.

Many of Prasad’s images are in the permanent collection of Golden West College Theater Gallery, South Coast Repertory Theater, Orange County Performing Arts Center and Opera Pacific. His images have been used to promote opera productions and artists and have been published in national opera publications and other performing arts magazines. His images have frequently been featured on CD covers as well.

One of his most inspiring projects was a photographic exhibition titled “Hands of Compassion” produced for a world harmony conference for East West titled Harmonia Mundi. The exhibition focused on Mother Teresa and the Dalai Lama of Tibet, two world spiritual leaders who have touched the lives of many on this planet and who have fully integrated love and compassion into their own lives. Both have received the Nobel peace prize.

Prasad has been a guest lecturer at the Professional Photography Western States Convention several times. His work was featured in a special “Hands Of Compassion” exhibit for the inspiration of other professional photographers. He has presented “The Spiritual Quest In The Modern World” which featured the Dalai Lama and Huston Smith at UCLA. He has been a featured lecturer and has exhibited his work in numerous major exhibitions. Prasad’s portraits of the Dalai Lama have been published in a number of publications.
