Dalan Wells is an internationally collected and award winning artist originally from upstate New York. Having spent most of his career on the windward side of Oahu Hawaii. The artist and The Outdoor Studio have relocated to San Diego CA. The name Dalan comes from an abbreviation of Dennis Alan. It happened fifteen years ago and now it has stuck. A true "Daily Painter At Heart". Subjects include "Anything that will sit still long enough to be painted". Depending on the day this can lead to, portraits, plein air landscapes and seascapes to studio still lifes. Classically trained in New York, London, and Hawaii. Paintings are varied in style from impressionistic palette knife work to very detailed contemporary realism. "Becoming a Daily Painter (when I started and finished a 6x6 or 6x8 almost everyday) was when it finally all "clicked" for me as an artist.
