About Me
I'm a photographer - though describing me as a visual poet would truer. Shooting in both B&W and color, I ask the viewer to find meaning in everyday situations that are at once familiar and ambiguous. Ranging from street photography to abstraction, my photographs pose questions that viewers are challenged to answer as best they can from their own existential vantage point.
Photography tends to get caught up in equipment, technique and perfection - perfect focus, perfect timing, perfect subject. But so often perfection comes at the expense of the story, the question, the singular moment in time that is often gone before you can get the shot.” I'd like to be involved in this site so I can pursue photography that involves creating Tableaus and involves models in brainstorming those tableaus or set pieces. Aiming for fine art photographs that embrace ambiguity. I'm hoping to find like minded people here. Im originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and was educated as a lawyer and continue to practice. I also holds a degree in history. My experience in law and my deafness inform my photographs and have led to my signature theme of existential silence.
