Dusty Rhode believes that learning never ends and that it must be shared. At the early age of 15 he was already focused on becoming the next great hairdresser, so he joined the Aveda institute in 1997 and graduated top of his class. Today Dusty continues to learn personal and professional lessons that apply not only to the way he lives and raises his family, but how he gives back to the professional salon industry.

Dusty’s has trained at the Vidal Sassoon and American Crew Academies and has worked behind the chair since graduating from Aveda. He has written salon curriculum, helped develop new salon products, been featured on stage at Aveda Congress Festivals and Master Jams, has produced several photo shoots and has frequently participated at New York Fashion Week. In 2005 Aveda honored Dusty by naming him a finalist for Men’s Stylist of the year.
