Carlos Baptista is an up-and-coming Director and filmmaker from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, now based in Los Angeles after a few years working in New York.

Experienced Editor and Post Artist, Carlos has focused in shooting and directing commercial and personal projects. Technically creative and proficient, his domain and understanding of every step and aspects of filmmaking empowered him to not only Direct, but also shoot and edit most of his projects, making him a capable, reliable and self-sufficient filmmaker but nonetheless a great team worker and leader. Having directed and shot videos to brands like Gatorade, Zino Platinum Cigars, Morgane Le Fay and The Art of Basketball as well as Music Videos like Adorable from Trouble Andrew and short films like the 2012 Manuela and 2013 In Between.

Young, dynamic, easy-going, well travelled, cultured and multi-lingual Carlos Baptista is constantly working on new projects and is driven towards art, creativity and his love for Nature and the Ocean. One of the owners and collaborators of the photography blog www.moronorio.com he is a passionate photographer, having participated in the 2012 The Warriors Dream expo during the 2012 Miami Art Basel , a show that featured artists from the New York artist crew TWD, which he is also a part of. Carlos also had photos featured in FRANK 151 zine, VICE Magazine's web site and an OnzeDoze t-shirt featuring one of his photos.

In Brazil, Carlos graduated in Graphic Design and worked for 6 years in post production. Starting as an online editor for the production company TvZero, he soon moved to the post production boutique Estudios Mega working as a VFX artist and compositor for over 3 years after which he was hired by Afinal Filmes as a colorist and post producer. After one year headed to New York to pursue a master degree in filmmaking and a career doing what he likes the most.
