I am now located in Lakewood, so I am actively looking for models to work with in the area!
I am primarily interested in doing artistic shoots, so I am seeking open-minded models with a strong creative sense to collaborate with - models who truly want to create beautiful, emotional or thought provoking images with me. I am not actively looking to gain monetarily from my work right now – I am doing it simply for the sake of creating hopefully beautiful art. As a result, I do not charge for shoots, and prefer TF, although I can pay reasonable expenses.

What I am looking for:

I am primarily looking for open-minded, laid back female, male and trans models who are comfortable with their own bodies and doing artistic nude shoots, although I will do shoots with those who don’t do nudes, too. Generally interested in working with women with a more petite build, and I prefer longer hair but neither is set in stone. Age is not a consideration – one of the most beautiful models I know is in her late sixties and I would give my eye teeth to work with her someday. Those specifics aside, I look primarily for two things in a model: one, a kind of non-traditional beauty, if that makes sense. A kind of beauty that does not fit with the traditional or mainstream view of attractive -  something about you that is unusual or different that is beautiful in and of itself. This is one of those things impossible to describe, but I’ll know it if I see it. And two, an ability to emote well, almost more like an actress than a model. I want to capture happiness and sadness and laughter and even crying. Also occasionally interested in working with male models, and I would really like to work with a few couples, too, especially for a more sensual shoot. You don’t need to be a professional with lots of experience – in fact, given the kind of work I want to create, the opposite is often better.

Specific ideas and interests - if something here strikes a chord with you let me know:

City and street shoots. I love to do shoots where the background is interesting - traffic, people and signs.

Nature/wilderness. We're blessed with some of the most beautiful natural scenery in the world and the possibilities are endless.

Head shots. If you have an interesting or beautiful face that emotes well, I am always up for doing simple head shots. Lots of them. And I love beautiful and interesting eyes!

Public street/park/crowd shoots with a hint of voyeuristic nudity. I'm not talking about you standing nude on Colfax, and don't worry, I will not ask you to do anything that will get you a citation, but more along the lines of a button-up shirt bloused open a little bit or a see-through top, sans bra. And I am not talking about these images being pornographic - if done properly, shots like what I am talking about can create a very powerful, but tasteful, image.

I would like to do a nude night shoot, with the night sky (the stars, and more specifically even, The Milky Way) as a background. Obviously more difficult to set up, as we would have to get pretty far away from city lights.

Any kind of water themed shoot - a small pond in the mountains, during a rain storm, or even in a bathtub or shower. Water and the right lighting can add incredibly to the power of an image.

Cultural and ethnic shoots. Again, in this area we are blessed with so much rich and incredibly interesting culture - I would love to do any kind of shoot that emphasizes the model's culture, whether that is accomplished through the setting/scenery/location, wardrobe, or even just the actions of the model, I always love doing images like this. I am also extremely interested in photographic older people that have lived and been a part of a culture so long that everything about them is an embodiment and reflection of their particular culture (in other words, I would love to photograph your grandparents, too!).

Historic recreations and homages. If you have access to costumes/wardrobe and can do hairstyles that evoke a particular era, I am very interested! I have always been fascinated with the roaring twenties (think flappers), and also the glamour actresses in the 40's (i.e. Rita Hayworth, Hedy Lamar, Veronica Lake, etc.) Also, renaissance, medieval and fantasy. If you can recreate that look as a model, get in touch with me!

Smoking - I am fascinated with the cultural connotations that have come to surround cigarette smoking. Having gone from seeing cigarette ads on tv when I was a kid to now, where you're almost morally judged if you still smoke, I don't think it will be too many years until a picture of a model smoking will have a definite “dated” look, and I want to capture that. Plus, the rising and trailing smoke really can be very aesthetically interesting and pleasing. So, if you're one of those horrible people that still smoke, I would love to do a shoot where smoking was involved. Primarily interested in cigarette smoking, but also 420 shoots.

Hippies: I love the 60s hippie look (it's my age showing ). Love the dress, hairstyles and jewelry, etc., and also very much like models who are natural - i.e. do not shave.

Ballet, dance, silks, and even strip tease - any of the performing arts.

Book covers: I have a friend who writes erotic and romance novels and he was talking about the difficulty of finding licensed images for book covers. So... it is something I would like to explore - if you have knowledge or experience in that area I would love to talk!

Finally, when we are shooting, I adhere to the strictest professional standards and expect the same. I will not say anything vulgar, I will not touch you, and if you don't feel at ease with any of the poses I suggest please just let me know - I don't want you to do anything you are the slightest bit uncomfortable with. If you would like to bring an escort, I have no problem with that at all and in fact encourage it as long as he or she doesn't interrupt or distract you or interfere with the shoot in any way.
