I suppose it started at a very young age..the obsession that is. I wanted to be just like Cindy Crawford and so did my mother and the rest of the women in my family. I wanted to be a star..I would dress up in those gawdy flashy dress clothes.. clunk around in my mom's heels..paint on my mothers lipstick and pretend that our living room was the varitable runway.lol. I suppose most little girls do that but with me the desire and passion stuck. However, especially in the past couple of years I have learned that being the a star is more than being beautiful and loved by all..It is something that comes from within. I believe the true art of modeling and producing truly fantastic photographs is bringing that beauty from within and showcasing it on the outside..A simple difference in body language..or facial expression can say more than a thousand words. It's funny as I look through my portfolio now ..that I can remember exactly what I was doing..where I was in life..what I was feeling...who I was with.It continues to bring happiness to my heart and mind to share that with loved ones and even those I do not have the pleasure to know very well.I have always loved having my photo taken. It has always given me a sense of pride and boost to my self-esteem..and that is priceless..especially to a woman in this world..Guys and gals..we all know the pressure..the advertising..the critism. This industy is rough..It's exciting..Definetely can be dirty.. But then again so is life;) Through out my journey in and out of full involvement in this particular art triumph and tragedy has continued to overwhelm with a plethera of emotions. Yep..I'm a feeler. In fact I think I say the words "I feel" more than anyone I know..It's a blessing and a curse really... I put everything I have into something if I want it..if it in fact captures my heart. And modeling for better or worse has.I have worked free lance doing commercial print modeling since the age of seven..My first fashion show was in 6th grade I believe raising money for a charity for the battered womens shelter.In 2003 after I graduated highschool I attended Barbizon Modeling and recieved awards and very memorable moments with that..Our final show I fell off the runway..That's right..My shining moment where agents and scouts and well as advertising execs were surrounding me..I fell. And not only did I fall..I sprained my ankle..haha..laughing at myself. Anyway, after a couple of years working with them and traveling..Life took its course..There is a story to every person. My story is complex and long. In fact I am continually working on a fictional novel based on my journey. A couple of years ago I began to follow both more intellectual pursuits.. and others truthfully-- getting into trouble..learning life lessons.I was diagnosed with ptsd and depression and when that occured..I believe it was the hardest time of my life..Darkness engulfed me. I have not lived an easy life but then again..really who does?! I am not ashamed of my past or present however. I am a survivor and I have alot of fight in me. I am happily fully engaged in modeling again..I love to travel. I continually work with fantastic photographers. I am a very deep and complex woman..and I have a beautiful little girl that I have high hopes for and definetely consider a true natural..Gosh she is the light of my life..I love her more than words can say. I love people and helping others..especially when it comes to the mind. I have continually been a psychology major. Beauty of the mind..I believe is of most value. I love what I do..I love who I work for and with.. and I am so thankful. Thanks for taking the time to read this and follow my career continually showing support.
