John Bour was born in the south of the Netherlands. From an early age he was fascinated by film and photography. Since the 1980's he has been working as an acclaimed photographer, director and cinematographer. John conducts photography and HDSLR video workshops worldwide.

After numerous travels all over the world he settled down in Sweden. Here he finds inspiration for his creative work.
As a producer/entrepreneur John understands the commercial- and marketing needs of his clients.

He works with an international network of creative profes-sionals on film, photography, design and journalistic projects.

"Through my photography I try to convey my sense of wonder when I look at our beautiful planet. The light, the colors, the startling variety in natural forms and human expressions; they seem to awaken the need in me to share my feelings and experiences with my audience.
While I do not shy away from the pain and sorrow in this world, I choose to show these in a gentle manner.
I consider my work succesfull if it invokes in the viewer a feeling of curiosity, an urge to explore.."
