Hello,

I have been doing photography for about 10 years now- I purchased my Nikon D70 in anticipation of a trip to Guatemala (my home country) and have not looked back since. Previously, I focused mainly on landscape and product shots- less complicated and less hassle. 2 years ago my sister had a baby and I started taking pictures of him and the family and getting good results. There is a spark of energy and emotion that comes from pictures of people that one simply cannot get from pictures of things (yes, yes, I know that my statement is quite arguable!). Since then I have been looking for more opportunities to shoot with models and a friend recommended (I had also seen the site alluded to on Flickr) Model Mayhem as a good starting point.

I am looking for creative people/models to help me grow creatively as well. *Deep dark secret: "I am far more into the technical aspects of photography than the "artsy" part". I am looking for people that are trying to build their portfolios and garner more experience. Along those lines, the best scenario would be trade for portfolio. I am EXCEPTIONALLY reliable!! Flakes and vapid people drive me nuts. Most importantly, I am super easy to get along with; for some inexplicable reason, people are just comfortable around me.

PS:
Unless I am dealing with finals, you will always get at least a handful of good usable images back within a week! Not always true of other photographers. (Again, I don't like flakes, so prefer not to be one!)
