My name is Sara and I have been in the industry for 15 years. I am a Master Stylist at Salon Aura. I am looking to build my business and make new connections to better myself. So let me give you a little background about myself.
I started young, at 18. I then took a position at a New Talent AVEDA Salon that was a branch of the top salon in Green Bay, WI. I was there for 5 years. I was an in salon educator and hairdresser. I relocated to El Paso, TX and worked at an upscale AVEDA salon. While there I participated in many runway shows, did hair and makeup for the Miss El Paso Pageant and Miss Teen El Paso Pageant, one of my clients was picked to be Miss Teen New Mexico. I was also a full time hairdresser. Life happens, so I moved back to Green Bay after a year and a half.I went back to the salon I worked at but this time I was at the main salon. I was back to educating in salon and being a master stylist.
I knew I wanted more with my career, so I moved to Phoenix, AZ. One of my best friends had a salon there. I took over as salon manager and one of the master stylists. I was also in charge of training new employees. While there, I did Scottsdale fashion week, and a couple other runway shows. Things weren't the best financially at the salon so I needed to move on.in December of '09 I took a position at the AVEDA Institute as an educator. I loved my job, I loved helping and making a difference in students careers. I put my heart and soul I to that job assuming to be moved up in the company. It didn't happen. But I made a lot of connections.
I was contracted for 4 years with the Miami Dolphin Cheerleaders. I did maintenance on a big chunk of the squad. I also participated in their calendar shoots, squad photo, and calendar unveiling.
Then magic happened September of and my dream job came along. Being GM/Creative Director of BSA Salons.
I then stepped away from the GM position due to wanting more focus to be on the salon. We have done promo shoots, runway shows, events at ULTRA Music Festival and so on.
After the salon, I became lead educator at the South Beach location of Beauty Schools of America.
Since then I have had a baby and moved back to Green Bay. I want more and need more here in GB. I am used to going and moving all the time and want more print work and so forth. Feel free to contact me for any hair or makeup needs!
