My name is Sergey. I’m a photographer based in Toronto, Canada.

My passion for photography started in 2008, the day I borrowed a camera from a friend. That time I was living in Moscow, Russia, was pursuing a degree in management and had no clue about my future.

So what was so special about that borrowed camera?

I spent a whole day shooting everything that was catching my eye. I was literally hypnotized by the way a camera changes your perspective of the world and how it enables you to tell your vision and thoughts. That day has changed something inside of me, and I decided to change my life. I realized that this was what I want my professional career to be about.

However, it was not that easy to change my life in an absolute opposite direction. I started a full-time 2-year fashion photography program at the British Higher School of Art and Design while still completing my bachelor’s degree in management. Thus, I had to study in 2 schools at the same time. But despite of all the complications, I knew that I have chosen the right direction.

Today I’m an art photography student in OCADU (Ontario College of Art and Design University) in Toronto which is another big step to my dream. I’m still passionate about photography like I’ve been from the very start.
