My name is Rhian and I work as a hairstylist at the Cutting Room Creative Salon in Nanaimo, B.C. I graduated at the Vancouver Island University with a diploma in hairdressing in February 2013. I finished the program with awards such as Best in Retail Sales and Best in Over-all award. In April 2013, I won as a bronze medalist for Skills Canada BC and making me an ambassador for the said Skills Canada Nationals held at the BC Place, Vancouver in June 2013. In November 2013, we, the Cutting Room Creative Salon team won the prestigious Contessa's (Canadian hairstylist of the year award) Salon team of the year, making us the second salon in BC to win that award. I am now a part time instructor at the Hairdressing Department of Vancouver Island University and training the students in competition works, how to build yourself, and working with our maximum potential.
