About Me

ALL PHOTOS LABELED MODEL ARE IN-CAMERA JPEGS WITH ZERO PROCESSING SO THAT YOU CAN EVALUATE MY PHOTOGRAPHY, NOT MY PROCESSING SKILLS

I am retired from ATT and Caesars Entertainment just before the holidays 2013 and this year opend my studio here in Las Vegas. I specialize in family and couples portraits and have done some model portfolio work. I recently attended the Wedding and Portrait Photographers Institute for a week earlier this month and have been reorganizing my studio, my session procedures, my product processing and my branding. I am reopening the studio on this Thursday, April 3 with a session and have a shoot with Models, Inc Friday April 4th. My ambitions at this stage and small and homey, just be the neighborhood photographer serving and being a part of the local business community serving the families and the businesses of my little corner of Las VEgas.

I also love the fashion/model community and helping them, if I can, achieve their entry into the fashion/modeling world. I get a lot out of working with other photographers when we are working together and each doing a part of a model's porfolio. I believe thqt makes for a stronger portfolio than one done by just one photographer. This also sharpens my skills stimulates me creatively because fashion/model photography demands a precision and a freshness that families dont expect and largely do not want.

I enjoy being a part of the community of photographers because every professional photographer I have met has been very generous to me with their time, their talent and their encouragement. I was talking with one of the instructors there outside of class, perhaps the leading and most in demand photographer in his field in the country, about all that and showing him some of my work and he remarked that he was still learning and trying to get better just like everyone else at the Conference. He even asked me how and why I achieved a certain effect in one of my B&Ws of a couple. He asked as if there was something in what I did that he could learn from. Something he could learn from me?If he was just being kind I appreciate that very much as well!

Photography may be the most perfect juncture of business and pleasure, of art and technology, of creativity and mind-numbing routine OR it may be the most hellish juncture of the same, but I love it and the people who also live in its grasp.
Thank you, Lisa
