Photography is my second career, that I have been re-launching during the past 10 years, after a relatively long absence. Over these past 10 years, I have concentrated on street photography; you can see my work in this genre at http://walkabout.zenfolio.com. My photos have recently won several awards, including Best of Show in 2012 and in 2013 in the annual Atlanta Photographic Society's Salon, and one of my photographs was recently (in 2012) selected as "Monochrome Photo of the Year" by the Atlanta Photographic Society.

I am in the process of moving back into figure photography, which was my primary interest many years ago. This represents a new beginning for me, and I am currently working on my portfolio, and some ideas that I have put on the shelf for awhile. My interest is in capturing images that would be considered artistic, representing the human body as a landscape, almost always in black & white. These images are not particularly revealing, and rarely involve displaying someone's face. Typically, it involves no more than a black background and 1 or 2 light sources. Of my photos presented here on this website, these do not quite represent where I want to go, but may give you some idea.

I very much need to create a portfolio of work, and have joined this website to meet models who would like to collaborate and help me create what I think will be very artistic. My preference is to shoot TFP; I am always wiling to share my work and help models with their portfolios and career in any way that I can. My shoots are very relaxing; given the nature of my project (and the fact that my experience is in street photography), I prefer a fluid experience without many pre-conceived set poses.
