I am primarily a stencil spray paint artist. Street art is a passion of mine, though I create a lot of indoor work as well. Lately I have been enjoying charcoal drawing immensely. Most of my subjects are of or involve women - faces and/or bodies. Though a great deal of my work is for aesthetic, I am experimenting with slightly more political edge - addressing social justice and humanitarian issues. I see art as having an incredible influence in our world, how we see it, create it, and act in it.
I have only used photos of women for my work in the past, but have now begun photographing and working with women to shoot the images which I will later turn into stencils for my spray paint. This gives so much more depth and connection to my work; to work with someone in person and share and learn from one another. From this, incredible photos have been created from a live model in the studio and the direction and exchange in the poses. I am thankful for a place like model mayhem that allows artists to find and be introduced to models on a very respectful and professional level.
