I am a singer/songwriter, college professor, and teaching artist. I have been hosting, organizing, and performing in fine arts and musical events for over 10 years. In 2010, after a series of underground acoustic performances with artists in Baltimore's poetry scene, I released my first solo project. I completed my first full length musical project in August 2013. My recent 2014 release is an acoustic collaboration.

My confidence is growing as I see more people, like me, represented in art and media. As my health takes a higher priority in my life, I am very pleased with my mirror's reflection, growing more comfortable with sharing my physical self on stage and in photographs. I would like to see more representations of women of color, queer/gender bending individuals, and plus-sized faces in the music, magazines, art that I see. I think the best way to give us representation is to start with the artists and students that will be holding the jobs in the future, building partnerships to further the diversity in artistic representations.

I recently relocated to San Jose, CA.
