Hi Mayhemmers!

My name is Rich Roth. I'm on Model Mayhem to seek artistically-minded models, makeup artists, photographers, and really any creative professional who would like to collaborate and spend an afternoon "creating".

Photography is my passion and it is a form of expression that I need to keep my heart pumping. Photography is a way for me to express myself in creative and unexpected ways, but also to express the heart and soul of the subject that I am photographing. I believe anyone can take a picture, but not everyone can "make a picture". I feel that my skills at "making pictures" are what sets me apart from other photographers.

A few things that go through my head when I'm about to make a shot are:

Subject:
Who or what is my subject? What am I wanting to capture?

Light:
Find the light - Where's the natural light? Am I adding artificial light? Do I need to light elements other than the main subject?

Composition:
What is my focus? Do I want variety in the frame or a single point of focus?

Location:
Where are we? What's unique here? What will help me get the "WOW!" shot I need?

I am looking to network with other creative and driven individuals that love and respect this profession as much as I do. I would love to work with all styles of models - I'm in this for the art.
