My goal in photography is to emphasize the essence of my subject. I want to know that real person, that authentic place, or that grand idea. To see them in the context of this incredible mysterious place that we live in, THAT is what excites me. Photographs that connect a strong sense of "who" with a strange sense of mysterious awe are the most powerful, in my mind.
